Po dekadach zapomnienia jego duch odrodził się pod koniec lat dziewięćdziesiątych za sprawą Ry Coodera i filmu Wima Wendersa Buena Vista Social Club. Produkcja opowiadała historię niezwykłych muzyków, którzy przywrócili światu magię tradycyjnej muzyki kubańskiej. Album o tym samym tytule zdobył międzynarodowe uznanie i rozpalił na nowo miłość do gorących rytmów Kuby w Europie i Stanach Zjednoczonych.​

Buena Vista Social Club was a legendary place on Havana’s musical map that in the 1940s pulsed with life, sounds, and the rhythms of Cuban son. After decades of being forgotten, its spirit was revived in the late 1990s thanks to Ry Cooderand the film Buena Vista Social Club by Wim Wenders. The production told the story of extraordinary musicians who brought the magic of traditional Cuban music back to the world. The album of the same title gained international recognition and reignited a love for the hot rhythms of Cuba in Europe and the United States.

During the evening “The Cuban Latin Jazz – Music of Buena Vista” at Vertigo Jazz Club & Restaurant, audiences will hear a tribute to this remarkable musical phenomenon. The band The Cuban Latin Jazz is made up of talented musicians who passionately and authentically capture the spirit of Havana’s classic sound, blending it with modern influences of jazz and Latin music.
